Film-making Inspiration

I feel that I should include this on my Senior Blog, since Chris Broad's work is such an inspiration to ideas I would like to pursue in my videography. Also, most of his work is either humorous or serious, which I find myself switching between in my work.

Chris Broad is quite an interesting film-maker/vlogger/podcaster/personality I enjoy watching on YouTube. He has worked on several film projects before, but my personal favorite project of his was his "Journey Across Japan" series. In this series, he attempted (and mostly succeeded) in crossing Japan from coast to coast on a bicycle. Along the way, he quickly learned the value of pacing one's-self on a project, since he was planning on filming, editing, and posting new videos every single day of the cycle. (He continued to do this until he fell asleep on the bike while cycling...) After this, he went to a more reasonable schedule, giving himself time to perfect his editing, to think of new creative ways to add to the entertainment of the series, and to make it so enjoyable to watch. He has a talent for being able to tell a story no matter where he is, and I hope to focus more on storytelling through my video work in the future.
